Our mission is “Immersing people into a mining world” with a vision to nurture an understanding and appreciation of all that our area’s mining is in its past, present, and future.

We invite you to visit us and enjoy our numerous exhibits and activities. For more than a century, gold mining was the #1 industry in Lead and in the northern Black Hills. Today that mining heritage is cleverly depicted as an educational and fun Black Hills Badlands Association Family Approved Attraction.
